Six Nigerians were honoured with the prestigious 2face Peace Awards at the Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless concert in Eko Hotels, Lagos. The recipients were presented their honours by Nigerian music industry veteran, Kenny Ogungbe, who was a recipient of the award last year.
The award which marked its third edition, saw Fatima Askira, founder and director of Borrow Omen Development among this year’s recipients, freelance journalist, Jack Vincent Fidelis, NGO specialist, Ubimago Williams, photo journalist, Fati Garangan, Priscilla Achakpa; conflict resolution specialist, and Rachel Begonet.
According to the event host, the six individuals have contributed immensely to the peace in the northern region of the country, as well as helped make lives of the internally displaced persons worthwhile.
