Many of us do not know him as Augustine Miles Kelechi but when the name Tekno is mentioned, we can identify with the rave of the moment.
Since its release a few months ago, Tekno‘s ‘Pana’ has already gained massive air play and acceptance in the country. The hit song has maintained number spot on several countdowns for some time now. It has even gone beyond the shores of Nigeria with international artistes like Ludacris and Trey Songz acknowledging it.
The brain behind the hit song is talented fast rising producer named Chris Alvin Sunday a.k.a Krisbeatz. He labels his sound as ‘king of the new waves’.
In an interview with Thenetng, he lets us into the production process of Tekno’s Pana.
He said:
‘‘I made the beat in thirty minutes.”
‘‘I already had the beat before Tekno jumped on it. The beat was for someone else, but the person said he didn’t like the beat that it’s not hard.’’
Krisbeatz continued:
‘‘Tekno came into the studio while I was making the beat, so he heard it and asked if I could talk to the guy so he could have it. I did and the guy said no problem that he could take it.”
He also added that the singer paid him handsomely for the beat.
KrisBeatz has worked on Reminisce‘s ‘Angelina’ and Oladips‘ ‘Bounce’.
He also revealed that he was working with the ”Duro” crooner on his forthcoming debut album.
