CoverGirl unveils first ever Muslim ambassador

Less than a month ago, beauty brand, CoverGirl unveiled a male make up artiste, James Charles as it first ever male ambassador. Now, beauty blogger, Nura Afia is making history as the first every Muslim woman to be named an ambassador of the brand.
The latest ambassador, Afia has an Instagram fanbase of over 300,000, and a YouTube channel with over 200,000 subscribers, with whom she shares skincare secrets, makeup tutorials, and stylish ways to tie her hijab. Now, she’s showing off those skills to a massive audience with a new CoverGirl commercial and a huge billboard in New York City’s Time Square.
Afia will specifically be a face for CoverGirl’s newly launched So Lashy! BlastPro Mascara. It’s features a three-in-one brush that molds and shapes your lashes, plus a ball-tip to get those hard-to-reach corner eyelashes.
Beauty blogger Nura Afia joins fellow CoverGirl ambassadors—many of them new, as well. You’ve got James Charles, Amy Pham, a DJ, model, and actress,Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, Sugar Symphony YouTubers Chloe + Halle, and Katy Perry. It’s a really diverse, gorgeous group of men and women.
