Super Falcons win 8th gold at AWCON

The Nigerian Female football team, Super Falcons just won their 8th Gold after beating hosts Cameroon 1 – 0 in the final game of the African Women’c Cup of Nations, which held today.
Desire Oparanozie‘s strike sealed the win for Nigeria’s team in the game that took place at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Omnisports Stadium in Yaoundé.
Asisat Oshoala also received the award for the highest goal scorer of the competition after scoring 6 goals.
The win has seen Nigeria secure their eight African title even as Coach of the Nigeria team, Florence Omagbemi, made history to become the first individual to win the AWCON as a player and a coach.
