An outfit is never complete without a smile. The power of a smile stands sure. It is the best way to let the other person know that they are accepted. Wearing a smile requires less muscles. Most times, we smile with our teeth. No one wants to have a brown or yellow teeth smile. No wonder it is important to take care of the teeth; the whiter they are, they better and more attractive.

Do you want a smile that can light up a room? There are many natural home remedies to whiten your teeth and they include:

1. Baking Soda and Lemon
You could either use baking soda or lemon juice  but the combination of the two is super-effective. It is advisable to brush with this solution once per week as it can wear away the tooth enamel if used too frequently.  Use cotton swab to wipe saliva and excess plaque from the teeth before brushing on the mixture. Allow to stay on the teeth for a minute before brushing it off with toothbrush. Ensure you do not leave the mixture on your teeth for more than a minute so as to prevent acid eroding  your tooth enamel.

2. Eat Crunchy Fruits and Vegetables
Fruits like apples, strawberries and carrots are good for your teeth. They act like nature’s toothbrush. Chewing crunchy fruits and vegetables do not only remove excess food and bacteria from the mouth, they help scrub away surface stains. The acids in the fruits and vegetables keep the teeth whiter. Apples and strawberries particularly  contain malic acid- a chemical with teeth whitening properties that remove surface stains.

3. Use Straw
Drinks like coffee, tea, soda, and wine can all cause serious damage to the enamel of your teeth. It is advisable to use a straw to reduce direct exposure to teeth. trust me, discolourd teeth is more embarrassing than drinking your coffee or wine out of a straw. If you don’t consider doing this, ensure you brush immediately after taking this drinks to remove discolourations.

4. Floss your teeth
Flossing does not come naturally to people as brushing.  Yet dentists still insist that flossing should be done. According to them, flossing is more important than brushing. Try to floss twice daily for the best teeth-saving results. Flossing alone can easily remove the teeth stains, helping them look whiter.

Natural teeth whitening home remedies can improve your toothy glow without breaking the bank or exposing you to unknown chemicals and bleaches in the hands of the dentist.
