Reports reveal that a Federal Judge in Massachusetts has dismissed a defamation lawsuit against comedian Bill Cosby.
Judge Mark Mastroianni ruled on Thursday that Katherine McKee didn’t have enough evidence against Cosby whom she accused of rape in a Detroit hotel in 1974.
Bill Cosby’s representatives called the 2014 New York Daily News story on her rape allegations defamatory and demanded a retraction.
Though the lawsuit against the famous comedian has been dismissed, he still faces criminal charges in Pennsylvania.
Katherine McKee, an ex-actress was among dozens of women to come forward with allegations recently and among at least eight suing for defamation in Massachusetts, where Cosby owns a home. Bill Cosby has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than 50 women, according to news reports.
Cosby’s lawyers called Thursday’s decision the “correct outcome.”
McKee told CNN on Thursday she is “very disgusted” with the court’s ruling.
