Highlife veteran, Dr Victor Olaiya has officially retired from live performances and active involvement in music due to his declining state of health.
Following doctors’ orders, the veteran singer would no longer perform live at shows. Apparently, this was the reason for his being absent from the ”Nightlife Faithful Gathering” held every Saturday at the Stadium Hotel, Lagos State.
According to his manager, Gbenga Adewusi: “Aside from attending his gigs, he no longer comes to work regularly as a result of age-related health issues.”
Dr Victor Olaiya was at one time signed to 2Baba’s Hypertek music label.
They both did a collaboration to produce the remix of hit track ”Baby mi”.
