“I call my daughter, girlfried”- Footballer, Mohammed Anas explains post match speech blunder

Ghanaian footballer, Mohammed Anas’ shout-out went wrong days back, during a post match interview, where he thanked his “wife” and “girlfriend”.
The video of his speech went viral and has amassed over 250,000 views.
Speaking on the blunder, Anas has come out to say that he is happy with the publicity his speech has generated. According to him, his blunder had made him more famous. He also cleared the air on the supposed girlfriend he mistakenly mentioned.
Speaking with the BBC on Monday, Anas said said that his daughter was the one he called his girlfriend. He said:
“My family knows that I call my daughter my girlfriend. That’s what I was talking about. I don’t have a girlfriend,”
Anas, also disclosed that he’s been with his wife, a South African whom he loves very much for 7 years, and that she knows the kind of man he is.
He said: “I love her so much. She’s given me two beautiful children. She is fine. She knows what kind of man I am so I am not worried.”
