Rapper, Drake cancels shows on doctors’ order
By Sewe Ishola
You will recall that towards the end of last year, Wizkid called off his scheduled concert in East Africa on the order of his doctor, now American rapper, Drake cancelled his Monday night concert in Amsterdam at the last minute and his fans are not happy about that.
The cancellation too was on the orders of his doctors.
Concert-goers had already filed into the 17,000-person Ziggo Dome when a promoter came out onto the stage to announce the event wouldn’t be going ahead.
“Drake got sick. His doctors told him not to perform,”the woman says as some in the crowd boo and hurl drinks cans at the stage.
It’s the third time in three months Drake has scrapped and rescheduled his Amsterdam shows during his Boy Meets World European tour, Billboard.com reported.
The 30-year-old Canadian previously had performances scheduled for January 20 and 21, which were then moved to January 26 and 27 before being postponed to March 27 and 28.
Fans were told Monday’s gig would be rescheduled for Wednesday night. But clearly many were unhappy and took to Twitter to vent their frustration.
