Daddy Freeze, Shirley Igwe To Host House Of GMYT Frozen Ball this Sunday

Come tomorrow Sunday December 10th, all roads will lead to the Oriental hotel Victoria Island Lagos as fashion entrepreneur and CEO, House of GMYT, Princess Kelechi Romeo Oghene will host an award night and graduation ceremony for students of her GMYT Fashion Academy.
The glamorous event themed ‘Frozen’ will be hosted by the duo of controversial OAP extraordinare, Daddy Freeze and delectable actress, Shirley Igwe. It will see the graduation of 31 students of the Academy and the official launch of their individual fashion brands at the event expected to attract top notch dignitaries including fashion industry luminaries, corporate leaders, philanthropists top government officials and members of the diplomatic corps who are passionate about the Nigerian economy and the role women play in the growth of the economy.
For Princesse Oghene, the essence of the event is to empower women through fashion which she described as her strength. This, according to her, informed the setting up of her fashion academy, which will not only give students the opportunity to learn the art of fashion but also provide a platform for them to showcase to the world their talents and crafts through exhibitions of the designs and collections. “They will officially present their collections made while still at the academy to the entire world so that nobody will tomorrow question the originality of their brands and designs. That is the essence of the Frozen Ball holding on Sunday,” Princess Oghene said.
“I want them to establish contacts, build network for people to patronise them so they can also be able to impact on many others in the society while building a virile fashion industry in Nigeria,” the delectable House of GMYT lead creative designer added.
She noted that during the graduation ceremony, award and gifts will be presented to the overall best graduating student while special recognition awards will also be bestowed on some fashion icons and role models in the Nigeria fashion industry including Mrs. Joan Okorodudu, CEO, Isis Models.
Princess Oghene has proven to be one of the most inspiring fashion entrepreneurs in Africa. Her positive impact in her community and the society at large has earned her myriad of awards and good reputation too.
Apart from the GMYT fashion academy, Princess Oghene also runs the GMYT Foundation, an empowerment platform which she set up for under privileged women to learn various aspects of fashion illustration, design, and manufacture via scholarship provisions to the GMYT Fashion Academy.
The foundation not only desires to train and equip women with skills in fashion design but also seeks to provide business knowledge for its beneficiaries to enable them start and grow sustainable businesses and in turn serve as vehicle for empowerment and employment.
The frozen ball tomorrow Sunday, she informed, promises to be an evening of fun, with lots of comedy and good music by The Ebony Band.
