A while ago, it was speculated that Nollywood actor, Joseph Benjamin has a profile opened on a dating site, where he advertised, he was looking for love.
The actor’s managers have issued a press release distancing him from the profile and says the website has been notified that the handle was fake.”Our attention has been drawn to what we believe is the result of an uninformed and unengaged mind. Mr. Joseph Benjamin has never signed up to any dating site.
We strongly advise members of the public, not to fall prey to any mischievous machinations, in form of unscrupulous persons who steal and assume people’s identities.
They use baseless assumptions to defraud members of the public.
We will reach out to Match.com to inform them about this. We have also been dealing with impersonation on Facebook, we have had people reach out severally, asking why he stopped talking to them. We have sent out posts, telling people they have been chatting with, or in contact with an impersonator or impersonators.
We have also reached out to facebook requesting a verification on his page.
Mr. Benjaimin will like to warn the general public to avoid such”
