By Patricia Uyeh,

The New Year comes with so much freshness, it is an opportunity to start again, make projections, plan and chase your dreams. While some make new year resolutions, others would be take each day as it comes.
Whichever group you belong to, the new year is like a book with 12 chapters, make sure you spend and your live each chapter well.
Now, a certain group of people arouse our curiosity, they are our celebrities and we would like to know their plans for the new year. What exactly have they been up to?
Below are some Nigerian celebrities and their plans for the year 2018:
Richard Mofe-Damijo
The dapper looking actor who just wrapped up the shooting of his latest movie, Castle and Castle, is bent on mentorship for the youths. Going through his social media page, RMD, as he is popularly called serves up motivational nuggets. This year, he will obviously be practising law, doing some PR work as well as act and groom upcoming talents.
Omoni Oboli
The mother of three, who is woman’s woman, this year said she would be involved with women supporting women projects. Her latest movie, Wives on strike: The revolution is a gaining more popularity and doing pretty well in the box office. We can only expect more blockbusters from Omoni Oboli this year.
Simi
Music sensation, Simi is all set for the year. It started on a good note for her, as her mother found love again and remarried. Simi, who served as her mother’s chief bridesmaid, also honoured the couple with her performance.
In quick succession, Simi has landed a  juicy ambassadorial deal with Opera and she is already booked to perform in Dubai during Easter. What do we expect from her this year? More singles? An album? More endorsements? Marriage? Simi would definitely let us in…fingers crossed.
Alibaba
Ace comedian, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, who is referred to as the ‘Nigerian King of comedy’ has big plans for the new year. As usual his January 1st concert held which was well-attended and his live show on television continues to air. Now, he is focusing on eliminating unemployment providing a vacancy board through social media where his followers are kept abreast of latest job vacancies.
Ireti Doyle
Veteran actress, Ireti Doyle continues to whet our appetite with #NewProject alert. From all indications, she is working on a new movie, this is coming after her stellar appearance in ‘The Wedding Party 2’. The new project which got her travelling to the rural areas in Akwa Ibom state, appears to be a blast from the past as it has been tagged #1929TheMovie. We can only expect the best from her knowing that the project would come out with a bang.
Ebuka Uchendu-Obi
Media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is a man of many parts. He is a lawyer, TV host, writer and compere. He gave us hints of a ‘TV special’ which is the introduction of the Big Brother Naija housemates reunion show. We are expecting more surprises from him as the year continues.
Dakolo Egbuson-Akande
The beautiful actress is not resting on her oars as she has started promoting her latest work-a movie titled ‘New money’ that features the likes of Wale Ojo, Wofai Ifada, Kalu Ikeagwu, Femi Branch, Osas Ighodaro amongst other. The new movie is set to hit cinemas in March this year.
