How I escaped desperate female rapist – Actor, IK Ogbonna squeals

By Rita Chioma,
Popular Model and Nollywood actor, I.K Ogbonna is one name which should ring a bell especially with lovers of Nollywood movies, a man of style who goes about town without a stutter in his strut because he doesn’t apologise for who he is.
Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna is one of the top actors in the Industry at the moment and he is sought after by most producers for his ability to interpret diverse roles in movies.
The actor, in a chat with The Sun news, opened up on how he escaped from a female rapist.
His role in Agatha Amata’s new flick, Disguise, where he plays a woman with polished fingernails, long brown eyelashes etc. attests to the fact that he embodies whatever part he’s given.
The actor was asked about his ability to interpret diverse roles and he responded saying:
“At some point I was doing stereotypes, doing the bad boy, fine boy and playboy stuff. And when I get a script, I ask the director ‘is it possible for me to play a part I am unlikely to be seen playing?’ And if it is okay with him, I’ll give it a try. It helps me as an actor to be seen as an all-rounder. I don’t want to be boxed.
I am happy I have played poor man, rich man, pastor, mad man and woman and I am looking forward to more. I like the challenges and I like the fact that it allows me to experience different characters,” he said.
When asked about his female fans and the craziest thing a female fan has ever done to him.
He said: “A female fan almost raped me. It was crazy but the good thing for me is that I was at a friend’s place when she started making the moves, and I was recording everything she was doing. So, by the time she got to the point where she said she was going to shout and turn the tables around, I played back what she was doing and she had to slow down.
I think that was the craziest thing a female fan ever did to me. Since then, I stopped getting too personal with my fans. I won’t have them come visit me or see me at a friend’s place and all that kind of stuff. I created a barrier.”

I.K Ogbonna whose real name is Ikechukwu Mitchel Ogbonna is married to his Columbian wife, Sonia, and son, Ace.
