The ‘Center of Excellence’ would be hosting the maiden edition of the Lagos Bridal Fashion Week.Being the first of its kind, brides and grooms-to-be, bridal stylists, buyers and guests are in for thrilling experience.
This 3-day event, which would be holding from May 4th to May 6th, would feature a curated list of Pan-African bridal designers for the daily runway shows and brands at the show.

Part of the activities to usher in the Lagos Bridal Fashion Week 2018 included a press cocktail, which held on April 26th. It was an atmosphere of warmth and pleasure. The serene environment of Temple Muse in Amodu Tijani street, Victoria Island, Lagos was the venue of this get together.
With music playing at the background, food and drinks were served to all attendees. Prominent among them was Senior Special assistant to the President, Abike Dabiri, Ogun State governor Ibikunle Amosun amongst others. There was so much that met the eye; from the display of bridal outfits to decorations and then other artifacts.
Other activities to be included at the Lagos Bridal Fashion Week would include runway shows, shopping (wedding fashion and accessories), one on one consultations with wedding dress/suit designers and stylists, masterclasses with fashion industry experts and other side attractions.
Speaking of exhibitions, some of the exhibitors that would showcase their bridal wears include Bridals by Ivy, Buwie fabrics, CLAN, Fuxion Trends, Donna Tyler Jewellery, Duke and Dexter, Elizabeth and Lace, Perfect occasion bridals, Love Tims, Patrick Ayanski, Honey and Cherish and others.
Organisers of this event, Call her Classic stated the purpose of the Lagos Bridal Fashion Week.

In a statement, they said that it seeks to provide a central platform for presentation of Pan-African bridal collections in Lagos to a local and international audience.

According to the organisers, the event aims to increase local and international awareness of the Nigerian Bridal Fashion industry. It also wants to increase the patronage of Nigerian made bridal wears, boosts tourism with brides coming from all across Africa to visit our local designers, attract foreign investment in the Nigerian bridal fashion industry and increase global opportunities for Nigerian bridal fashion designers.
