The news of the passage of legendary reggae artist, Ras Kimono has been received with shock by many including politicians, colleagues, and his fans.
Many of them have taken to the social media to react to the sad incidence.

Dino Melaye, the senator representing Kogi West, has reacted to the death of legendary reggae artist, Ras Kimono.
Sharing a photograph of him and the late musician, the lawmaker said “what a dark day”.
In a tweet, Melaye wrote, “Ras Kimono and myself in my village(Aiyetoro Gbede) on 31st December 2017. Legend is gone. What a dark day. RIP my brother and reliable friend.
“Death why! Why! My brother and my friend. Legend Ras Kimono rest in Peace. What a black day! What an unceremonious exit. I love you and will miss you. Sad sad sad.”
The musician passed away on Sunday morning in Lagoon Hospital, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Meanwhile, Tony Okoroji, Chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria, also lamented the demise of Nigerian reggae music legend Ras Kimono.
Okoroji , who confirmed the report in a phone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, described the death of the Delta State-born singer as “shocking and a big loss to the entertainment industry.”
“Right now I am talking to you from the Lagoon Hospital, and I can inform you that Ras Kimono is no more.
“His death came as a shock because I spoke with him yesterday.
“He will be terribly missed, as he was not just a board member of COSON, but a personal friend who gave me 100% support.
Okoroji, however, stressed that solace should be drawn from the fact that the late reggae legend left indelible footprints as a passionate artiste who contributed his quota to the growth of Nigerian music.
He, therefore, prayed God to grant his family the strength to bear the irreparable loss, adding that COSON and the entire music industry would celebrate the life and times of the late singer.
