Nollywood’s top actress, Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi, is a year older today, November 24.
FAR, as she is fondly called by friends and colleagues, has had a dominating acting career, since joining the movie industry.

Funlola is 44 today
FAR is a graduate of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), with a degree in Sociology.
Funlola took a Theatre Arts course at Westminster College, London, and a TV acting course at the prestigious Actors Studio, Buckinghamshire also in London.
She had an early start on stage and television with her aunt, Teni Aofiyebi
The actress had her first big break in the 1995 Nollywood classic Violated. From then on she has had memorable performances in countless Nigerian movies.
She has featured in movies like Violated, Keeping Faith and The Figurine, and TV shows including Tinsel, Doctors Quarters, Solitaire and Palace. On stage, she has been part of plays such as Sing That Old Song for Me and The Mansion written by Rasheed Gbadamosi.
In 2007, she emerged the winner of dance reality show called Celebrity Takes 2 beating out nine other contestants.
FAR is the owner of www.iamfar.com, an entertainment blog, where she airs her thoughts and opinions on issues about the entertainment industry.
She produced and presented radio show called Touch of Spice for 14 years having started in August 1999.
She is married to advertising guru, Olayinka Raimi, and a doting mother of a son.
