Eat Drink Festival 2018 holds Lagosians spellbound for two days

One of man’s greatest needs is food.  And with the food comes drinks whether cocktail or juice or most importantly water, because they all go together.  This was the whole idea of the Eat Drink Lagos Festival 2018 which held on the 26th and 27th of December, 2018. It brought people from all walks of life to experience food and drinks like never before during this festivities.

In fact, food and drink was in abundance as it had over 50 vendors showcase food and confectioneries at its best. Lagosians, both young and old, students and working class, foodies and food enthusiasts, chefs and other professionals came en masse, in their different attires. They were virtually held spellbound for these  two-day event at the Lekki Colliseum, Lagos(venue of the event).

One of the side attractions was the music from the disc jockey who dished out latest songs from trending artistes both locally and internationally.

And then, the cooking competition had contestants battle for the ultimate prize giveaways.  There were other games that saw winners cart home mouth-watering prizes.

Then, one major highlight of the event was the use of advanced technology.  Though the food and drinks came with affordable price tags, the customers could didn’t need to carry cash or use their ATMs. Instead their wristbands were loaded with points that translated to the money they transferred from their bank accounts. That way, payments were easy, convenient and fast.

The open air space was the perfect ambience for attendees to feel free in the relaxed atmosphere. The atmosphere which was also peaceful saw the photographers  have a field day capturing moments and experiences.

One thing was sure this year #EatDrinkFestival2018 came with a bang, hopefully next year would be better.
