ALLURE AWARDS 2018: BEAUTY COMPANY OF THE YEAR –  L’Avyanna

The start of every New Year is one that many look forward to; this is because it gives the opportunity to have a fresh start.

Hopes renewed, expectations revived, and people generally look forward to a better year in all areas of life.

It was in this spirit that many Nigerians approached 2018.

However, as the year would reveal, hopes were dashed as the lingering recession which began since 2015, crept into 2018.

The cost of doing business became astronomical with the economic power of many taking a nose dive.

However, with some Nigerians resonate the “can do spirit”, men and women who by dint of hard work, stood out from the crowd like the biblical “city set on a hill”.

Today, we celebrate men and women from all walks of life who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavours in 2018; modelling, fashion, business, music, movie, etc.

These Nigerians are by no means lazy, and they have become an inspiration for other young Nigerians. We confer on them the Allure Awards 2018.

The awardees are:

1. BEAUTY COMPANY OF THE YEAR: L’Avyanna
L’Avyanna Skin Natural owned by a former beauty queen, May Ikeora, is a natural beauty product that started officially in 2014, to provide healthy skin care options for women of colour at affordable prices. The brand since its inception has grown remarkably with products stocked in different pharmacies across the country.
In October 2018, L’Avyanna, launched its first flagship store on Awolowo road, Ikoyi and also, introduced into the Nigerian market, a variety of male grooming products.
The growth of this brand attributed to its product and branding tailored to international standards. In its 4th year in the market, L’Avyanna is already competing with global brands by being the first choice of many in the beauty sector.
