5 Simple activities to keep kids occupied this holiday

We love kids! Who doesn’t? But is there anything worse than a bored, energetic kid set loose in your house? Unsupervised, children can drive you up the walls and make you want to rip off your hair.

Well, here are four tricks on how to keep the kids around you occupied during the holidays. Enjoy!

1. Baking
If you love baking as much as I do, then let the kids join in the fun. Bake a few trays of holiday treats with the little ones to keep them busy for a few hours. The promise of a treat and the privilege of licking the frosting will have any kid excited!

2. Get artsy
Everybody loves arts & crafts, right? There is nothing as simple as collecting all the random Knick knacks in your house, throwing them into a large box and slapping an invention box sticker on it. If you have some old newspapers just lying around, all you need is glue to make this killer papier Mache solar system!

3. Scavenger hunt
Make a treasure map with clues to find some treasure you have hidden somewhere in the garden. That should keep the occupied for a few hours.

4. Backyard karaoke
This is a great and fun way to keep kids occupied because, which kid doesn’t like to sing? If you find yourself playing sitter to a bunch of raucous rascals, set up a small stage, and have a sing off! The bonus is, its not just the kids who get entertained!

5. Dancing

They can set up a dancing compettion, best dancer get a prize. After much of that enegry burnt. They will willingly bathe and retire to their beds for a nap.
