Burna Boy, Teni & Mr Eazi get nominated for BET Awards

Nigerian music stars, Burna Boy, Teni and Mr Eazi have all been nominated for the 2019 BET Awards. While Teni has been nominated in the Best new international act category, Mr Eazi and Burna Boy have been nominated in the Best international act category.

This time around, US rapperR Cardi B leads the 2019 BET Awards with seven nominations including two for Video of the Year for “Money” and “Please Me,” her collaboration with Bruno Mars. She also earned nods for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Viewers’ Choice Award, and Album of the Year for her debut Invasion of Privacy.

She is followed by Drake, who has five nominations including Video of the Year for “Nice for What,” which will face off with Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” The Carters’ “APESHIT,” 21 Savage and J. Cole’s “a lot,” and Cardi B’s “Money” and “Please Me.

The 2019 BET Awards is set to air live on Sunday, June 23, from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
