Betty Irabor speaks on years of battle with chronic  insomnia, depression

Publisher Genevieve magazine, Betty Irabor has been speaking on years of secret battle with insomnia and depression, which led to her weight plummunating to 50kg!

She made this revelation in an Instagram post on Thursday.
According to her, she desperately tried almost everything just to add on to no avail. Now that she has won the battle against insomnia and depression, she has gained some weight.
Here is her revelation: “Yesterday, I stepped on a scale and alas, I had added a healthy few kilograms. I smiled! You won’t understand!! A few years ago when my weight plummeted to 50 kilograms and my dress size was 6/8 UK I tried almost everything just to add on. I was desperate. I was skinny. Slim was one thing but this was SKINNY and it wasn’t pretty.
“I got loads of advice; “Aunty Betty, mix malt and milk and drink”. “Aunty Betty, try eating SWALLOW late in the night and u will add weight” ” pastry will help you add some weight”  and a few told me; “Aunty Betty, you don’t know how lucky you are” Lucky? NAH!
“Then mum prescribed  WEIGHT- ON which as kids helped us to add weight.
Still my weight plummeted. A few people said I was anorexic! Many actually thought I was on a crash diet. Really? Who diets to their bones? That must be a whole new level of obsessive dieting!!
“Well, I began to add some little weight but it took years. It came after the battle with chronic  insomnia and depression was won. Nobody knew about that secret battle.
“As I came off that scale yesterday, i smiled at the complexity of life. The things we want versus the things life gives us.
“Life is full of ironies. Truth is, as Astronomers put it, the stars are aligning. For me indeed, the stars are aligning. I am grateful for where I am but I certainly want MORE out of LIFE. I want it all. What exactly  is ALL? I don’t have all the answer but  i know for sure that  this isnt ALL…
#gratitudemodeactivated.”
