For a lot of people, the idea of not starting the day with a shower is not considered funny, though this could be traded for a bath before bed, for a better sleep and more. But there is a much to be said for bathing at night; especially, if you find it difficult sleeping.

Shower

Taking night bath comes with a lot of amazing health perks. Apart from making you feel refreshed and energetic, it also helps to normalize the body temperature. Hence, one should always endeavor to take a shower before retiring for the night.

‘’ An article at TIME, extols perhaps, the single best virtue of PM showering, noting that if you want to improve your sleep, showering at night is the way to go’’. Experts say there’s evidence that a night shower helps you drift off “if you time it just right” says Abigail Abrams. But there are more advantages than just good sleep that can come from a moonlight shower.

Night shower improves better sleep. Abrams explains that body temperature is a key component in regulating rhythm, the inner clock that tells the body when to feel sleepy or bright eyed. Researchers have found that, warming your body can help bring on sleep, as long as there is enough time to cool down afterward.

Showering before slipping between the sheets means, you won’t be stewing all night with all the stuffs you gather during the day. By washing off all the germs and bacteria from the body, this reduces the issue of bacterial infection and skin aliments from the body which is good for the skin.

Washing your face before you sleep is not only strictly for night shower, but doing it together make it much easier.

According to the National Sleep Foundation, washing your face before bed helps reduce breakouts, improves your moisturizer’s efficacy, helps to prevent wrinkles and your chances of eye infections, and refreshes the mind and body.

Bathing before bed time is one of the best habits to imbibe. It assist in keeping the blood pressure in control.

Night shower initiates the proper flow of blood in the body since the temperature of the body rises due to heat, shower before bed then is extremely important to keep it in proper check.

Every human need to be stress-free in order to have a sound sleep. Night shower conveniently takes care of this, by removing all the worries and makes you feel fresh.

Mixing essential oils in your bathing water helps to bring peace to the mind, and refreshes your mood. Indulging in a bath after a long day before hitting the mattress, can be quite relaxing.

It helps in better functioning of the brain, and gives a better insight into your situation.

The best timing for shower should be about ninety minutes before going to bed. By then, your body would have been able to regulate it’s circadian rhythms- essentially the signals that tell when to be alert and when to sleep.

This you will experience immediately after bathing. You will feel heat up, more alert, active, and possibly creative. As time goes, cooling down process will start, and your system will feel more primed for rest instead of still feeling warmer and restless.

With a bonus of getting to dry up after ninety minutes with no damp pillow.
Apart from the above benefits, it is of great importance to take a bath before you want to hit the sack even if you feel completely relaxed.

Bathing here helps to give your body something it needs for a better night rest. Plus, there are other vital advantages of showering before sleeping – It clears your lungs, the steam of the warm water before bed will fill up your lungs and take the excess mucus out through your nose.

It lowers the possibility of waking up in the middle of the night with a terrible cough and also kicks out allergies. Note that allergies have the ability to get on your skin, then wait for the right occasion to attack your system.

It is fundamental you indulge in that well-deserved shower to wash them off your skin before they cause any serious ill-health.

Relieves tension for those that specially have a desk job; sitting for eight hours a day can be stressful for the body and mind. Shoulder pain, stiff neck, tension headaches and a bad back are just some of the problems that one can experience. Warm bath will go a long way to improve your circulation, soothe the muscles and relieve the tension.

Now you know, go and take that BATH !
