The event which is billed to hold on August 18, 2019 at a hall at Agege, Lagos will be celebrating Nigerian youths who against all odds have done well for themselves and others.

According to the organizer and founder, Kehinde Okorafor, the Beauty Queen, Mary was selected for the award because of her humanitarian capabilities.

Mary has demonstrated this through the various projects she has embarked on which includes her campaign the International Hand Washing Day 2016, promotion of sex education 2017 and campaign against child marriage on the international day of the girl child 2018.

She has also hosted campaigns on the need to empower the African child on the World day of the African child which she hosted in Ekosodin community, Benin City.

Due to her passion in promoting the development of the society through the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals she carried out her Pet project as the Most Elegant Girl in Nigeria Culture 2018/19 by promoting the fight against Breast and Cervical Cancer where about 100 women were screened for free at Olodi Apapa Lagos in commemoration of the World Cancer Day.

She has also flagged off another of her pet project tagged PROJECT SAGE [Save A Girl-child Education] which is a Spelling Bee and a Debate competition that would involve various schools in Lagos state, geared towards the promotion of the Girl Child.

Aside her personal campaigns she is a professional volunteer for Many NGOs which includes Girls In-charge foundation and women impacting women foundation. And has been involved with the activities of Dreams from the slum Initiative in Ajegunle.

She’s the Creative Director at Tmay Royale a registered fashion brand based in Lagos that deals on bespoke female wears and as a Queen she has sought to use this platform in empowering the girl child in order to reduce the rate of teenage pregnancy and prostitution with her Skill-up Girl project. Which she’s currently training a girl child for Free for 6 months.

Mary Ukoli is a Graduate of International studies and Diplomacy at the prestigious University of Benin.
