Fibroid has been estimated as one of most common disease that affect women. Doctors say early discovery can help save the life of a woman with fibroid.

 

7 Signs That You May Have Fibroid

According to Dr Oluwaseyi Aruleba- Adebayo, a medical doctor that practice integrative medicine, these signs is what every woman should look out for and take adequate steps to recovery.

The signs:

Unusual abdominal distention: It’s hard to touch. The distention is so obvious that many people feel it’s a baby.

Heavy, painful, prolonged, irregular menstruation : This is very common especially if it’s located inside the uterus and bulges into the uterine cavity(Submucosa type), it causes more bleeding and long periods than other type of fibroids.

Low Back pain: Occurs when the tumour press against the nerves of the lower back.

Pelvic pain: This occurs when the fibroid grows so large that the blood vessels feeding the fibroid can no longer supply it with nutrient and oxygen, it is called Degeneration.

Frequent urination :if the tumor is pressing against the bladder, there are times women are unable to urinate despite a full bladder.

Dizziness : As a result of excess loss of blood during menstruation.

Difficulty having bowel movement: If it is pressing against the rectum, just like it happens to urine.
