Abike Dabiri-Erewa receives first batch of Nigerian returnees from SA
The Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa , on Wednesday night, received the first batch of Nigerian returnees from South Africa.
187 Nigerians touched down at about 11pm at the airport in Lagos .
Many of the returnees came back without anything.
Addressing the returnees, Dabiri-Erewa, who had been waiting with her entourage since 2pm, revealed that apart from transport stipend to convey them to their various destinations, they were to receive airtime of which would last for well over two months, , as well as a soft loan from the Bank of Industry to support throes interested in little businesses.
She explained further that each sim will have N160,400 worth of talk time, plus 9GB of data valid for two months.
The returnees thanked President Buhari, the Chairman of Air Peace as well as the Consul General in South Africa. Mr. Godwin Adama for their efforts.
Another batch is expected to come in today.
