Every Friday there is always this feeling of relieve and excitement that fills the air and food ideas for the weekend is to add to that excitement.

Weekends are times we can all be available and enjoy moments with our loved once without having to rush out to work or returning late.

Having an idea of  what to make over the weekend is sometimes challenging when compared to weekdays.

This guide will come in handy if you are at lost over what to prepare for the family this weekend.

Saturday Morning: Breakfast is a very important meal of the day. Fried plantain with eggs will serve as an easy but palatable breakfast.

Moi Moi served with Ogi/pap : The taste is usually yummy, with ample time during the weekend, this is to go for.

 Lunch

Egwusi Soup with Semo/Eba: This is one of the easiest soup to make and if well made, tastes great when accompanied by eba or semo.

It is an ideal choice for lunch.

Dinner : Dinner is best served light, this is to enable proper digestion before going off to bed.

Nsala soup boiled with plantain or agidi will be an excellent choice.

Sunday breakfast  Nigerian sandwich(bread & akara) with pap will go down well.

Lunch: Dont know who made this rule but 70% of families in Nigeria eat Rice on a Sunday.

White Rice with Banga is absolutely an exquisite meal.

At night always keep it light and always try to be hydrated all day.

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables as well, they are great antioxidants which helps in fighting certain bacteria  in the body.

Have an awesome weekend.
