Strength and courage : what you need in adversity

November 22,2019

Strength and courage is the best garment to wear when in adversity.

Strength in adversity

Adversity is the state of adverse condition : it’s a state that is contradicting to our interest and wishes.

Growing up we have plans to achieve great things, go to school, become a graduate, start that business and become a millionaire or billionaire with mansions and fleet of cars.

We back up all these thoughts with plans to grind them all and be happy.

*Unfortunately* sometimes our efforts seems to be in vain and then we begin to despair.

Most times we become frustrated and lose taste of life.

Wailing, complaining and bitterness becomes our normal routine forgetting that,

During adversity, what we need to do is be strong and courageous

“It’s only a dead fish that swims with the stream “. We ought to learn how to swim against the current.

See each set back as a chance to improve, learn from all our mistakes.

One thing with mistakes is that if we get the lessons from each one of them, we become wiser and more informed.

Life is a series of struggles and lulls, what ever situation you are in now, ITS GOING TO CHANGE.

Les Brown said “when life knocks you down, try to land on your back, because if you can look up, you can get up”.

Life is never a bed of roses as even roses possess thorns.

What ever thing that comes your way, you have the power to overcome it.

Your case ain’t different, you are only been prepared for the success ahead.

Just because fate doesn’t deal you the right cards, it doesn’t mean you should give up.

It just means you have to play the cards you get to their maximum potential.

Your ability to handle the struggles, challenges, roadblocks, failures, setbacks, disappointments that comes your way is a measure of your strength…

Endure the pain so you can enjoy the gain. It can only get better, just believe.

Did you notice I asterisked the unfortunately above?

Most times what we see as unfortunate turns out to be fortunate.

Don’t keep waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel, light that shit up yourself.
