Bambam addresses domestic violence claims, says ‘My Husband will Never Beat Me’

Former housemate, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality television show, Bamike ‘Bambam’ Olawunmi, has dismissed claims that she was beaten by Tope ‘Teddy A’ Adenibuyan, her husband.

The talented reality star took to her Instagram page to set the record straight after a blogger had alleged that she’s in a union reeked of domestic violence.

“It’s very true that Teddy A beats Bambam. It’s also very very worrying,” the blogger was quoted as saying.

“Guys, 2020 new year resolutions, please don’t marry a man or a woman who abuses you just to prove a point to people you don’t even know. Beating was before wedding. and chances it that it won’t come back after Bambam delivers her baby is only in God’s hand. You can be rude etc to me but it doesn’t change the fact that we need to keep Bambam in our prayers.”

Reacting to the claims, Bamabam said she has never been beaten by her husband.

She also noted that her family frown vehemently at domestic violence, stating such report was meant to bring her family’s image into disrepute.

“I usually would not come out publicly to address rumours, but this is not just a rumour or random news, but a deliberate attempt at defaming my family’s character and my husband’s reputation,” she said in a short video clip shared on her Instagram page.

“How do you joke with something as sensitive as domestic violence? To what end? We’re newlywed for God’s sake.

“My husband will never lift a finger on me, he will never ever, no matter how angry he is, no matter how we fight or argue which is what normal couples go through. He will never lift a finger to hit me.”

The couple recently announced they are expecting a baby after their classic white wedding in Dubai.
