Aramide welcomes baby girl with husband

Nigerian Afro-soul singer, Aramide Sarumoh, and Pelumi Alli, her husband, has welcomed a new baby.

The talented singer took to her social media page on Tuesday to announce the arrival of her first child –a baby girl — with her husband.

In a post alongside the photo of the little girl, the songwriter described her baby as their “biggest blessing of the decade,” while appreciating God for sustaining the family.

Aramide also shared her baby’s names, revealing that she was born on December 26, 2019.

“Our Precious and Perfect Gift from God. Anjolaoluwa Charis Alli. 26:12:19. The biggest blessing of the decade for us. Thank you, God, for everything. Happy New Year!” she wrote on Instagram.

The ‘Fall on Them’ crooner tied the knot with Pelumi on April 18, 2015, at the Muave Event Centre in Ibadan.

Aramide won ‘Best Vocal Performance’ (Female) for ‘Iwo Nikan,’ her hit song, at the 2015 Headies. In 2018, the graduate of political science from the University of Jos (UNIJOS), stated that she is not an extremist when it comes to feminism.

“For me, I think it depends on what we are fighting for but I believe in equality and I believe in the rights of women and women getting what’s due to them. It all depends but I am not an extremist in anything but I believe in equality and equal rights for women,” she had said.
