Children’s Day: Ways to train leaders of tomorrow
As kids we were always told that we are leaders of tomorrow.
Today as parents and care givers, a certain percentage of us are yet to attain the leadership position.
The question to ask ourselves is this , do we have to wait for leadership to fall on our kids?
The answer to this is no, leadership comes from positioning and what we do daily.
It involves deliberate , conscious and intentional acts that position one as a leader.
To truly lead , one has to first lead themselves properly and then leading others comes without much effort.
Ways to position children for future leadership.
Teach them to lead themselves:
A child whose every decision is dictated by their parents and guidance will find it hard to be decisive.
Hence being a leader becomes difficult as they won’t be able to make simply life decisions.
Your responsibility as a parent, teacher, guidance is to guild them in their decision making.
Early Exposition:
Exposure has so much impact with the orientation of children.
If you do all you can to shield them from certain life realities ,you make it hard for them to learn.
Life lessons are learnt when one experiences something new,it allows for expansion in their reasoning and understanding.
Allow them see life from the onset and be there to guide their path.
Life itself has a way of reaching things we can’t learn in school.
Right Mindset:
Everything we do in life starts in the mind ,if our minds and thoughts are aligned perfectly, our action and deed will come out right.
Train your kids right by always ensuring their mindset is right and aligned properly.
Always act the part :
Children learn more from what they see than what they hear, make sure to be of good conduct at all times around them.
The things you don’t say tend to influence them more ,make certain you exhibit your best around your child.
Playing your cards well in terms of bringing forth a leader, will ensures these kids take up relevant task without failing.
What we get from the society all lies with the kind of children we raise individually.
Good parenting is the only way to raise the leaders of tomorrow and not the promises from those in power.
