Boys will be boys is lazy parenting – Adekunle Gold
Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, has warned parents against condoning wrongdoings from their male children on the grounds that they are bound to be so.
The ‘Ariwo Ko’ singer, in a tweet, said parenthood comes with responsibility, hence parents should ensure they raise their children properly.
“Boys will be boys’ is a lazy parenting strategy. If you have a child, you have a responsibility to raise them properly,” he wrote.
Born on January 28, 1987, Gold, who was born Adekunle Kosoko, garnered a huge fanbase after he dropped ‘Sade’, a cover of One Direction’s ‘Story of My Life’ on December 19, 2014.
His popularity has also been followed by several awards including best African music artist in the International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA).
The singer recently got married to Simisola Ogunleye, fellow Nigerian singer, in a low-key wedding in January 2019, celebrating their one-year marriage anniversary recently.
The two lovebirds are believed to be expecting their first child with Simi hinting at pregnancy in October 2019.
