5 Important health benefits of Monday morning sex

It’s Monday morning again! Work mood has been activated by some hardworking Nigerians, but how ready are you to face the new week?

What if you started this new week with good sex? Yes! Get laid good, to get you well started for the week..

In fact, according to Lovehoney, who have rounded up the research on the best time of day to have sex, an AM session is good for your health and even career.

Here are six reasons why you should try get a good sex every morning, especially Monday morning.

It counts as a workout

A workout in the comfort of your own bed? A single sex session can burn about 200 calories, which works out the same as running 15 minutes on the treadmill (and we all know how slow time goes on the treadmill).

Just schedule in a 20 minute quickie once a week and you’ll burn 7,500 calories in a year – that’s more than a 120km run. It’s a double bonus that your pelvic floor muscles will get a complete workout too.

It keeps you calm

Think of it as the physical version of meditation. Morning sex is a natural stress-reliever and can have lasting effects for at least seven days. It’s the perfect way to ditch the Monday blues and start the week off the right way.

Sex boosts your immune system

If you were an unlucky victim of the cold and flu season this year, we have some excellent advice you can take on board to prepare yourself for next year. Couples who have sex once or twice a year have 30 per cent higher levels of immunoglobulins in the body, protecting them against viruses.

It can make you look younger and happier

There’s only so much your skincare products and makeup can do when it comes to feeling fresh. Luckily, sex boosts your anti-ageing hormone, DHEA, which works to keep us younger longer. After an orgasm, levels of DHEA in the blood rise to five times the normal level #winning.

It releases oxytocin

Oxytocin is a feel-good chemical also known as ‘the cuddle hormone’, which boosts your mood, making you feel calmer and happier. You’ll feel so calm that you’ll even be able to feel a difference in the way you and your partner interact
