Beauty tips: How to perfectly slay bold lips

More often than not, some ladies find it hard to perfectly slay a bold lipstick.

Wondering which colour of lipstick to go for and how to make their lips look attractive, here are some tips.

Lipstick

Mochedda

The struggle is more prominent among bold lipped ladies or discolored and pigmented lipped ladies.o

How to slay your bold lips

Step 1: use a bit of foundation and colour to mint out your lip colour. This will help achieve even concentration of the lipstick when you finally apply.

Not minting out your lip colour can lead to over concentration of the lipstick on one part of your lip. Either the upper or lower part.

Step 2: Use a lip liner: you can change the shape of your lips using lip liner. You can literally draw right on the skin above or below your actual lip lines so that your lips appear larger or smaller than they really are. In this case, you want your lips to appear smaller, so make them appear fuller in the middle and thinner on the sides, draw on your cupids bow to make it more prominent, this helps to create a cute, kissable pout.

Step 3: Don’t use glosses; for a bold lip, glosses are a no, this is because it adds more attention and make your lips look bigger. If your intention is not to attract make your lip appear bigger, stay away from lip gloss, use lip balm instead.

Step 4: Exfoliate your lips: dry cracked lips are a turn off. They are not attractive and no lipstick will stay on there. Therefore it us advisable to moisturize and exfoliate your lips, making sure they are clean and smooth before proceeding to work on them.

Step 5: use lip products that match your skin tone. Using lip products and colour shades that align with your skin tone is advisable as it puts your whole makeover in concord. Doing otherwise can single out and attract attention to your bold lips.

Step 6: Use less bright colours: Bright colored lipsticks screams at whoever looks at it and makes your lips the centre of attraction. The darker the lipstick, the smaller your lips look.

Finally, don’t forget to smile more. Smiles lights up your face and diverts attention from your lips to your lit face.
