#NigeriaAt60: We will prevail, actress Ireti Doyle prays

October 1,2020
Share:

Nigeria may not be where most citizens expect it to be, especially as the nation celebrates her 60th Independence anniversary, still some people would rather not want to dwell on her negatives.
Rather, her citizens should continue to speak positivities and act right too.

One of such people is actress and producer, Ireti Doyle.
Ireti took to her Instagram page early on Thursday to encourage Nigerians to desist from consistently cursing the land, rather, they should act by faith and speak of things that are not, as though they are.
She then concluded by praying for her motherland by saying: “I say, NIGERIA …you are great, you are prosperous…it is well with you and all who reside within your boundaries.”
Here is her post:
“A land that is consistently cursed will not yield us…how do we expect to prosper? You are exactly who and what you say you are.
When you say a country is useless,  remember, a country is not just a geographical location…it is the PEOPLE. Unless your passport is of a different colour; that’s you and I.
Faith, speaks of things that are not, as though they are…
And though it feels like “60 going on 10” and our current  existence is in direct contradiction,
I say, NIGERIA …you are great, you are prosperous…it is well with you and all who reside within your boundaries.
We’ve been through so much, it’s looking like there will be more, but through it all WE. WILL. PREVAIL.
