Compared to the typical Dutch wax with faint back prints, the designer’s fabric choice offers a luxurious feel but is not of the best quality as the print’s reverse is so evident. Similarly, the exaggerated and deep V-shape cut at the front of the blouse appears too flattering and revealing. A smooth blend of the trendy skin net material that matches the model’s skin tone would have given the front view a less distractive look, without meddling with the designer’s original master plan. Alternatively, the deep cut would have made an even more stylish look if it had been placed at the back of the blouse. And with those elbow-length flair sleeves, the model’s audience would still not miss out on the details.

Inspired by the Indian tradition, the choli (a cropped blouse) worn with sarees and lehengas, often exposes the midriff.
