Have you heard about the #BeLikeNgoziChallenge? Nigerians are celebrating the confirmation of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as director-general of the World Trade Organisation with this new challenge.
She was appointed Monday to head the leading international trade body as it seeks to resolve disagreements over how it decides cases involving billions in sales and thousands of jobs.
Lifebank founder, Temie Giwa-Tunbosun said ahead of the announcement, “Hillary [Clinton] had a pantsuit army. We are going to create an #AnkaraArmy for NOI”.
Okonjo-Iweala-Iweala served as Nigeria’s finance minister and spent 25 years at the World Bank, where she rose to the number-two position of managing director.
