Nigerian American Comedy Special by Seyi Brown’ debuts on Netflix

Nigerian born US-based actor and comedian Seyi Brown is trailing the blaze on the African comedy scene with his recent debut on Netflix.
Seyi Brown’s ‘NIGERIAN AMERICAN COMEDY SPECIAL’ which streamed to a worldwide audience on Netflix March 10th, sheds light on the laudable achievements and positive image of Nigerians in the Diaspora, in contrast to what the western media portrays, as well as our unique lifestyle.

With intellectually entertaining and family-friendly content, Seyi dives into current affairs, contemporary social issues, personal experiences and interactions with people via his comedy.
The former host of Lagos Lottery TV Game Show, who is also famous for his enthralling role as Andrew Bande in the drama series ‘Doctor’s Quarters’, began his comedy journey from his days as an undergraduate at the prestigious University of Ibadan.
Speaking on his style of comedy Seyi noted that his sojourn from Nigeria to the US impacted his style of comedy; “my sets are performed in English as against pidgin English and less of storytelling as it is basically done in Nigeria”
For Seyi the idea for ‘NIGERIAN AMERICAN COMEDY SPECIAL with Seyi Btrown’ is to be proudly Nigerian while having a good laugh.
