Nigerian governors will receive Coronavirus vaccine on March 10
On March 10, governors from the country’s 36 states are required to publicly take the Coronavirus vaccine.
The agreement was reached at an emergency meeting attended by Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health, and Chikwe Ihekweazu, Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Kayode Fayemi, the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum and the Governor of Ekiti State, announced the decision in a statement on Thursday, March 4.
Fayemi, who stated that the vaccine is safe, urged Nigerians to register for the vaccine at nphcsaict.com.ng/publicreg on the website of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency.
On Saturday, March 6, frontline staff, along with the president and vice-president, are due to collect their vaccinations.
