All you need to know about the Clitoris

Only a handful of ladies are really in the know about their most powerful engine room of pleasure spot. Not until recently, science and sex Education has not in every sense of the word done justice to this phenomenal organ.

The clitoris is often shrouded in folds of skin remains, a bit of a mystery, and for you to be more clit literate, here are some fascinating stuffs you never knew about the clitoris which only function is pleasure.

The clitoris is one of the most incredible, yet, under-appreciated part of the female sensitive body. After years of being side tracked, punch-lined in a series of bad jokes about bad sex, the clitoris is finally getting the right attention that it deserves. Lack of sexual education about the clitoris has left too many people to their own devices when it comes to real information about basic sexual functions of the clitoris.

*The clitoris has about 8,000 sensory nerve fibers, doubling the amount found on manhood.

It does not stop there as sensations from the clitoris can spread across the pelvic area, affecting about 15,000 other nerves endings. “The clitoral glans- the visible part that you see, has more nerve endings than any other part of the female body.”

That’s why direct pressure on the clitoris often feel painful rather than pleasurable. In that case  stimulating the hood (the skin covering it), can be a  better option for sexual arousal.

* The clitoris has a bigger influence on orgasms than you can imagine: most women cannot achieve through vaginal penetration alone. They need something outside vaginal intercourse in getting orgasm. Believe it or not, about 50 to 75 percent of ladies, need clitoral stimulation to reach orgasm and the clitoris plays a large role in that by involving it through direct or indirect stimulation to reach the big O.

* It is not always in the exact same spot for all; but location matters a lot because, from a 2014 study, the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that if the clit is located too far away from the vaginal opening, the more likely a woman will have difficulty achieving orgasm. The researchers found that ladies whose clitoris was an average of 5-6 millimeters away from the vaginal opening, reported hardly or never reaching orgasm.

* All clits are not the same like every single thing about the human body; they’re quite different. They can be large, small, more hidden, less hidden, in fact, there are all kinds of shapes and sizes. Aside physical appearance, the needs of one clitoris is not the same as another. While a number of them are extra sensitive, some may require very little stimulation and some may likely need extra time and specific orientation/action.

*Under no circumstance should the clitoris stick out- Seek professional help and let your observations be evaluated by your family doctor. If as a lady, you notice that your clit in its resting state is sticking out from the clitoral hood or there’s an increase in the size in a non aroused state, this might be a sign of a cyst, benign mass, or a sign of too much testosterone.

It is almost impossible for any woman to ignore her clit and not get an understanding of what it is all about. Well, it is never too late to start a reintroduction on this powerhouse of pleasures as it can lead to serious lost time of pleasurable fulfillment.
