Former Minister Kemi Adeosun Launches ‘Dash Me Foundation’
Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, last week, returned to public scene with the launch of her ‘Dash Me Foundation’ and “Dash Me Store”, an online thrift-for-charity initiative.
The store, inaugurated last Sunday, was established to mobilise resources for distribution to vulnerable people in society via grassroots charities.
This appears to be her first public outing since the acceptance of her resignation by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2018.
Mrs. Adeosun disclosed the launch of her new foundation on Monday via a post on her Facebook account. According to her, the social enterprise was created to transform the lives of orphans and vulnerable children.
She said “It is my prayer that the future leaders and partners of our foundation, will reflect on this day as one of a humble beginning that has led to our vision to create a blueprint for sustainable social enterprise and accountability in charitable donations for Africa’s orphaned and vulnerable children, disadvantage youths and victims of domestic violence.”
The launch was attended and chaired by the Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo.
