How Meeyah Creations is championing decent fashion in glam style

One dominant problem that has persisted over the years in the ever-evolving world of fashion is the gradual disappearance of decent fashion— fashion that avoids revealing or provocative clothing, and opt for a more conservative yet elegant styling.

This challenge has left lovers of modest and decent fashion, including designers of like-mind, frustrated, with the search for stylish, yet conservative clothing, increasingly constantly ending up in futility.

Islamiat Aromashodu, the brain behind Meeyah Creations, is, however, rewriting the narratives. The talented designer renowned for her exotic creations which cut across bespoke, ready-to-wear and haute couture fashion, has committed to devoting her talent towards the creation of timeless, innovative and glamorous, yet decent pieces, that have continued to capture the hearts of fashion enthusiasts globally.

Enchanté

Among her masterpieces is a green velvet dress drawn from her 2021 bespoke designs, which the designer proudly dubs the Enchanté Dress. Crafted from a luxurious velvet fabric, the long-sleeve dress featuring built-in gloves, and subtly enhanced with a mix of light lace fabric, stands tall as a symbol of growth and harvest.

This dress features a flattering silhouette and a flowing train that, together, make it a unique choice for any special ceremony, especially the red carpet. The Enchanté instantly elevates one’s style, giving an effortlessly chic and sophisticated vibe. The fabric, in itself, is a show-stealer, which makes very minimal use of accessory a wise choice in styling this piece.

What truly sets this dress apart, however, is the intricate v-shaped frontal pleat detailing that stretches from its waistline to the upper arms. This is perfect for making a fashion statement while displaying effortless charm and feminity.

On its neckline is a flawlessly constructed low-cut turtleneck which adds allure and style to the Enchanté Dress.

Cascade

With a notable trajectory of blending fashion with luxury and utmost comfort, Islamiat, in yet another bespoke creation dubbed the Cascade Dress, expresses her design prowess and creativity, inspiring a new wave of fashion creativity.

The highly stylish monochromatic dress crafted from a rich combination of crepe and organza fabrics, celebrates style with utmost conservativeness. This stunning long dress boldly features voluminous ruffle detailing, both on its sleeves and around its hemlines. The ruffles glamorously add a touch of playfulness and enhance the dress’ silhouette.

This subtly flattering dress, with a high neckline, clearly represents conservative fashion, just like every other piece from Islamiat’s creations, and will make a a great choice for anyone looking to uphold decency while still staying fashionable and on-trend.

Majestique

The Majestique Dress is another innovative bespoke piece from Meeyah Creations. The black dress with floor-length high-slit sleeves on both sides, can be best described as the epitome of sophistication. Whether for gala, wedding or any social event, the dress which is reminiscent of royalty, makes a perfect choice.

What however distinctly sets this velvet dress apart is the infusion of stunning glittering embellishments across its chest and arms’ regions, which tends to capture attention with every movement. The Majestiqué Dress, in a slight nod to the in-style cutout trend, features cutout detailing on both upper arms. This strategic cutout shows off just a hint of the skin, thereby re-emphasising the designer’s philosophy of fashion. The yet highly flattering dress’ high neckline also completely conceals both the cleavage and chest regions.

A highly flattering dress, the Majestique stands gallantly as a bold embodiment of Islamiat’s fashion philosophy,

Eleganté

The Eleganté, a two-piece set that combines a mono long-sleeved cropped top with a high-waist straight pants that finish at the ankle, is yet another creation that reflects this designer’s creative and daring approach to fashion. The piece is crafted from crepe cotton, organza and silk.

The cropped blouse adds a contemporary twist to the outfit. On one side of it’s v-shaped neckline is a voluminous ruffle detailing that stretches to the forearm. This adds elegance. Right on the cuff of same sleeve also is a captivating fringe detail finishing, which makes for a really interesting and unique finish. This also gives the outfit a lot of personality.

One thing stands the blouse apart— and that’s the designer’s creative addition of a dramatic detachable butterfly train that floats right behind, creating a stunning visual effect. This innovation particularly makes the outfit a perfect offering for fashion enthusiasts seeking to create a dramatic entrance to any ceremony.

This classic two-piece also strongly echoes versatility, as the detachment of the dramatic train will instantly bring a new, though less ceremonial twist, to the style whose fitted silhouette elegantly enhances comfort.

The piece is styled with a matching beret that sets the mood for something fun and playful. This playful undertone notwithstanding, the creation heavily exudes elegance and sophistication, just like every other piece from the stable of Meeyah Creations.

The designer’s choice of colour also helps to create a strong visual impact. The Eleganté is, no doubts, an excellent choice for women who love modern fashion without any compromise whatsoever on their preference for luxury and elegance.

Conclusion

Islamiat’s creations definitely aren’t mere clothing; they represent conventional styling and innovation. From the designer’s carefully curated selection of fabrics to cut and decorative detailing, there is the resounding poise to create unique pieces that distinguish the wearer in the competitive fashion industry.

The determination to leave a legacy of responsible and forward-thinking fashion practices, including upholding sustainable fashion, also drives the designer who draws inspiration from the strength and growth of every woman, to, in turn, inspire positive change in the industry, both on a global and local scale.

Revolutionising the global fashion space might take time, but surely, with efforts of designers such as Islamiat, the pursuit and attainment of decency in fashion might, in no distant future, become a dominant trend. Hopefully, the global fashion scene will, gradually, realise that sophistication and elegance are attainable without the slightest compromise on decency.
