Prophet TB Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), will be put to rest on Friday, July 9, at the church grounds in Lagos.

Dr. Gary Tonge, the head of the burial committee, revealed the news at a press conference on Tuesday, June 29.

According to him, the dates of July 5 to 11 are set aside for a series of laying-to-rest ceremonies dubbed “Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Prophet Joshua, Born (1963 to 2021).”

He told reporters that the ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a private candlelight parade.

Dr Tonge stated a tribute ceremony will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 6 and 7, open to the public but with a restricted physical presence. He said that a ceremony of hymns and all-night worship would begin at midnight and that the prophet will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on July 8.

The ceremony, he said, would be open to the public so that they may pay their respects to the man of God. The laying to rest service and interment activities will commence at 10:00 a.m. on July 9, according to Tonge.

Finally, he stated that the thanksgiving ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. on July 11th.
