1994 ‘Glamour Girls’ remake to premiere on Netflix June 24

The remake of 1994 Nollywood blockbuster, Glamour Girls, will premiere on Netflix on June 24.
The streaming platform, Netflix announced the release date via its Twitter page on Friday.
Directed by Chika Onukwufor, the film will feature Nse Ikpe-Etim, Sharon Oja, Joselyn Dumas and Toke Makinwa.
Meanwhile, the original version of the movie starred several Nollywood heavyweights including Liz Benson, Ngozi Ezeonu, Eucharia Anuobi, Pat Attah, Ernest Obi, and Zack Orji, among others.
Glamour Girls is a story of four independent single women who embarked on questionable jobs within Nigeria’s traditionally patriarchal society.
Concerning the remake, the chief executive officer (CEO) and co-founder of Play Networks which produced the film, Charles Okpaleke, had spoken about the essence of ‘Glamour Girls’ remake.
He wrote on Instagram:
“A story that would involve 3 generations of actresses. I’m going all out on this one!”
