Elon Musk’s son requests to change name, gender in court
Xavier Alexander, one of billionaire founder of Tesla Inc., Elon Musk’s sons, has filed a request in court to officially change his name, gender and be henceforth addressed as Vivian Jenna Wilson.
Alexander who recently reached the age of consent in California as he turned 18-year-old, asked the court to change his gender recognition from male to female.
The 18-year-old is one of Musk’s seven children with Justine Wilson, his first wife.
Musk had married Wilson in year 2000 but she divorced him in 2008.
The other kids include his twin Griffin and triplet sons; Kai, Saxon, and Damian.
According to Reuters, the petition for both a name change and a new birth certificate reflecting his new gender identity was filed with the LA county superior court in Santa Monica.
The hearing on the name change is set for Friday before a judge in Santa Monica, California, where he further sought to register the female name.
Alexander was quoted as saying:
“I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”
On the rift between Xavier and his father, further explanation hasn’t be given.
