The musical team of fast-rising singer, Omah Lay, has dismissed claim of a dispute between the singer and Burna Boy, resulting in the removal of Burna Boy from his debut album.
Reports had earlier surfaced online stating that Omah Lay had considered removing Burna Boy from his next album.
The reports attributed the removal to the controversy that trailed Burna Boy after the alleged shooting of fun seekers at a Lagos club, by his police escorts.
The reports further referenced a deleted Instastory chit-chat between Omah Lay and his fans where the singer posted that he would remove his collaborative track with Burna Boy from the album billed for a June 24 release.
In no time, Omah Lay’s joke went on to generate heated conversation across social media, with music lovers and fans of the respective singers registering their opinions on the matter.
A source in Omah Lay’s camp, when contacted, said no such dispute was brewing between the singers.
The source told TheCable Lifestyle:
“There was never a misunderstanding between the both of them. Omah’s post on his stories was just for laughs.”
Omah Lay had, on Monday, put out a tweet that suggested some undisclosed issues were delaying his album release.
“I just wanna share my music with my fans and these reasons make no sense to me. Just put the album out!”
