Oscar sends invites to Funke Akindele-Bello, Daniel K. Daniel, Blessing Egbe
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, Oscar, has sent invites to Blessing Egbe, Daniel K. Daniel, and Funke Akindele-Bello.
The 397 candidates the Academy unveiled included Akindele-Bello, who was invited in the acting category, Omo Ghetto the Saga, Daniel K. Daniel in the category of Fugitive, The Soldiers Story, and Blessing Egbe, who is on the director’s list for African Messiah, Iquo’s diary.
If they heed the invitation, the Nollywood stars will participate in voting for the Oscar candidates and winners.
The most recent Nigerian invitees have now been added to the list of representatives who are Academy members.
Last year’s 2021 class included American director Andrew Dosunmu, Ramsey Nouah, and Mo Abudu.
