Flutterwave attempts to clear name amid fraud allegations

By supporting Big Brother Naija Season 7, the most popular reality show in Nigeria, Flutterwave, a renowned Nigerian fintech company, is frantically trying to repair its reputation.

Olugbenga Agboola, the CEO and co-founder, was suspected of participating in shady corporate and private activities. In the early years of the business, he raised his shareholding and offered employees who wished to profit from his scheme discounted share prices. He also made sure that the employees’ stock trades went to investments he managed.

The business will once again serve as an associate sponsor for the event.

Flutterwave and the reality show’s producer partnered in 2020 to plan the show’s tasks and money-winning competitions.

As the nation was still recuperating from the COVID-19 pandemic, they held the most well-known game contest, which greatly boosted their reputation and revenue.

With the use of an institutional advertising strategy, the corporation was able to increase its transaction volume from the $5.4 billion per transaction it had been making prior to sponsoring a portion of the reality program to over 140 million transactions worth over $9 billion.

The company is using the same approach this year to maintain its reputation and raise money while dealing with a number of challenges.
