Yomi Fabiyi dismisses claims of being worth $2.5m for fear of kidnappers
Yomi Fabiyi, an actor in Nollywood, has denied online claims that he is $2.5 million rich.
He added that the age and marital status that have been published about him are likewise untrue.
The actor may be worth up to $2.5 million, according to a blog post.
Additionally, it was claimed that Jimoh Grace is the wife of the movie star and that he was born on May 31, 1983.
In an Instagram post, Fabiyi denied possessing such sum.
Further, he declared that, contrary to what was previously believed, his actual date of birth was May 1 rather than May 31.
He also mentioned his incorrect marital status and the fact that he is currently older than 40.
“1. Net worth here is fake 2. Age is wrong 3. Marital status is wrong. 4. State of Origin is correct.
Anyways, the focal point here is the net worth. Please, every actions and decisions taken on our behalf online have adverse effect. I have never opened fake account in my life, nor live a fake life. I travel with my truth, hardwork and guts only.
I am no much fan of excessive or over-blown packaging. 2.5 million dollars, kuku kee me. I am not hungry and I’m not full either. Please oh, whoever put these kind of info up should take it down or edit net worth as moderate.
Again, I was born 1st of May and not 31st May. Moreso, I am over 40 years. Most importantly, help adjust the dollar net worth asap. Kobo no dey ground oh. And must you use dollars for the packaging?”

His outburst comes a few days after some Nollywood actors were taken hostage as they were leaving a filming location.
A $100,000 ransom was requested by the kidnappers.
Some of their colleagues disclosed that the reason the kidnappers asked for such a large sum of money was because of how actors are ranked on social media.
They stated that some people truly live deceptive lives to create the impression that they are wealthy.
Lizzy Gold was forced to refute suggestions that she is as wealthy as her earnings.
She issued a public announcement warning people not to believe the information they read online because she is still a ‘hustler’.
