‘Essence’ by Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has been praised by American rapper, Kanye West as the best song in music history.
The artist shared a beautiful caption with the song’s cover on social media.
“Best song in the history of music till date”, he wrote.
The singer’s fourth studio album, Made in Lagos, featured the track “Essence,” which was released in 2020.
Temilade Openiyi, a.k.a. Tems, appeared in it.
Essence has garnered a lot of praise since its debut.
It made history by being the first song from Nigeria to chart on the Billboard 100 and the Billboard Global 200.
The Best Global Music Performance category of the 64th Annual Grammy Awards was nominated for it.
