Bolanle Austen-Peters’ movie shines at AMAA 2022
Man of God, a movie by Bolanle Austen-Peters, has won the Africa Movie Academy Award 2022 for “Best Nigerian Film” and Best Costume.
The ceremony for the 18th edition of the prestigious awards, held at the Jewel Aeida Hall, Lekki, Lagos on Sunday, with filmmakers across the globe converging under the same roof to celebrate African movies.
The movie and theatre director, producer, and cultural entrepreneur showed off her awards in pictures she shared on her Instagram page, where she also thanked God for blessing the works of her hand.
“Just won “Best Nigerian Film” and Best Costume AMAA 2022. Super proud of my team Straight after “Best West African Movie” AMVCA 2022 for “Collision Course”. Thank you, Lord, for blessing the works of my hand.” she wrote.
Recall that Bolanle’s Collision Course also won the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award for Best Movie (West Africa) earlier in the year.
Famous comedian and MC, Funnybone, TV show host Kachi Offia, and comedienne cum actress Chioma ‘Chigul’ Omeruah, were hosts of the awards gala night.
